How could this beautiful village possibly have a dark side? On October’s darkest nights, winds howling, ghost-like figures appear and disappear.along the banks of the Grand River. Among them, on the south bank would certainly be “Doctor” Hannah Reeves, Hotelier Miss Sophie and runaway Roswell Matthews Jr. Join us for an evening of exploring the lives of the past that live on. On Mill Street near the north bank, one might encounter spirits of postmaster Robert Haig, mill gatekeeper Billy Cowan and drifter Tom Lysett. All are destined to return to the scene of their demise.Their stories (and perhaps a few others) are part of Elora’s dark side. Although their circumstances were all different, all seem to have very tormented souls
